Send a Message to the Executive Committee
Over a year ago, City Councillor Anthony Perruzza invited Toronto ACORN to City Hall for the announcement of the introduction of a motion to the Licensing and Standards Committee to create a strong system of universal landlord licensing with a rent escrow account and pro active inspections. .
This was a good first step and a major victory for ACORN members, but more work needs to be done to make Landlord Licensing a reality for Toronto's tenants.
ACORN members are mobilizing in neighbourhoods across Toronto to press their City Councillors on this critical issue, but we need your help to make our voice heard at City Hall.
City staff have prepared a report about landlord licensing that Toronto tenants are waiting for Counil's Executive Committee to act on! This action is almost a year overdue. Can you spend 3 minutes and use our new online organizing tool to send a message to the entire executive committee that tenants can't keep waiting for livable housing?
